Tips
- The system searches the title, text and author of every article.
- If you enter strike it will also find Strike and STRIKE -
in computer jargon, it is not case-sensitive.
- Searches for small and often-used words can be slow - a search
for war produces
over 500 articles and takes several minutes, during which your screen
may go blank. You may want to be more specific - in this case, you
might
try Bush, Iraq or Afghanistan.
- The system lists the most recent articles first.
- It finds the text you entered even if it is in the middle of another
word - if you enter king the system will find articles containing
working class, for example.
- Some articles are long. To find your search text in the article once
you've got it on your screen, use Edit > Find (on This Page) in
Internet Explorer or Edit > Find in This Page in Mozilla.
If you want to look for articles before January 2002, or you want to
search for articles on a particular subject, try the Socialist
Review/ISJ Index website.
If you have questions or comments about searching the site, you can
send us an email at website@socialistreview.org.uk.
